Great American Song Contest Christian/Gospel category
The 9th Annual Great American Song Contest features prizes and awards in nine different songwriting categories.
During most years the Pop/Adult Contemporary category receives the greatest number of entries. The Christian/Gospel category usually receives far fewer entries but has continued to grow in popularity since the contest began in 1999.
MUSIC-INDUSTRY JUDGES
The Christian contest category boasts exceptional judges (see Judges & Judging) including Michael Anderson, a Christian songwriter and recording artist who's gained nomination for the Dove Award (for Emmanuel with Amy Grant and Michael W. Smith).
PERSONALIZED EVALUATIONS
As with all categories, every songwriter who enters the Christian song contest category receives a personalized evaluation from judges who are knowledgeable music-industry professionals.
