Artist: Ron Anthony

The R&B/Hip Hop category winner of the 9th Annual Great American Song Contest is Ron Anthony, a native of Brooklyn, NY.

His song "You Are My Love Song" earned accolades from contest judges, who called it the "perfect" love song - "full of romantic imagery, with an unforgettable melody."

Ron spends his time equally between performing and recording. He got a lucky break a few years ago when he caught the attention of R&B legend Luther Vandross, who signed him to his production company LV Productions. Luther also asked Ron to help sing background on various music projects.

Sadly, Mr. Vandross passed away in 2005.

Ron says he tries to help carry on that great artist's creative spirit in his own music and songwriting. Ron also lists Donny Hathaway and Marvin Gaye as among his artistic influences.

Ron is currently recording and performing, working hard to advance his most promising career.
