Artist: Lucas Miller

The winner in the Special Music Category of the 8th Annual Great American Song Contest is Lucas Miller of Austin TX.

Lucas offers an interesting perspective to songwriting. He's studied a variety of natural sciences and graduated from Miami University with a degree in Zoology.

His fascination with marine ecology no doubt contributed to his highly original song "Living In Symbiosis." This First-Place category winner charmed the judges with cleverly thoughtful lyrics and a wonderfully engaging melody.

Lucas specializes in songs that stimulate children's interest in animals, insects and the natural world. He is also the author of several books.
